Creating bookmarks can be super easy and fast! They’re fun and your kids will love it!

What you need:

  • scissors

  • boxes from recycle bin (clean, not crushed)

  • hole punch, optional

  • ribbon, optional

Cut bookmarks out of favorite boxes (cereal, granola bars, fruit snacks, crackers, popsicles). Punch a hole and add ribbon, if desired. DONE!

You could write an inspiring note on the back and share with friends or a teacher.

Adding your child's favorite color ribbon & then curling it makes the bookmarks even more fun!

Involving your child in the reading experience makes it more fun, it gives them more buy-in and with all that, they’ll enjoy books and reading even more! When they enjoy their books and reading more, they’ll want to read more. With that increased reading, they will become better readers.

This is a great project for your children and a complete win/win - fun activity that encourages reading! Share in the comments what boxes your child would love to make bookmarks from.
